Floyd Fletcher

October 1, 1934 — August 10, 2022

Mills River – Floyd Lewis Fletcher, 87, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. A native of Buncombe County and resident most of his life, he had moved to Henderson County in 1990 and retired from Eaton Cutler-Hammer, Corp in 1998, and formerly attended Mud Creek Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Houston and Lezzie McKinney Fletcher and husband of Lynn Fletcher who died in 1998. He was also preceded in death by his 3 brothers, Jack, Charlie and Jerry Fletcher. Surviving are his sisters, Mary Fletcher of Asheville and Ruby Burrell of Burnsville; numerous nieces, nephews, family members and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, August 15, 2022, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Keith Morrison officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10:15 AM Monday at the funeral home.
