Floyd Ben Conner

Skyland – Floyd Ben Conner, 93, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at Universal Health Care. A native of Madison County, he resided in Buncombe County since 1949. He was a son of the late Fred Conner and Inez Davis Conner and the husband of the late Doris “Dot” Rainey Conner. He was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Conner; sister, Ina M. Penoyer; and brothers: Roy J. Conner, Bernie Ray Conner, and Glen Conner. Mr. Conner was a U.S. Army Veteran and retired from Dupont. He was a long-time member of Skyland Baptist Church. Surviving are his daughter, Debra Riddle and husband Clayton of Skyland; granddaughters: Nicole Ferrell and husband Kyte, and Matelyn Harris; great grandchildren: Taygan Ferrell and Arden Harris; brother-in-law, John Penoyer of Greenville, SC; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday, March 21, 2021, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Robert Ponder officiating. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
