Flora Jones Hensley

Woodfin – Flora Lou Ellen Jones Hensley, 82, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 3, 2024, at CarePartner’s Solace Center.

She was born in LaFayette, GA, to the late Charles Edward Jones and Janie Ruth Hagwood Jones. She was also preceded in death by her sons: Roger Eugene Weaver and Raymond Hensley; grandchild, Kevyn Hensley, and brother, Charles Edward Jones, Jr.

Mrs. Hensley was a member of the First Baptist Church of Asheville for more than 11 years.

Surviving are her son, Ricky Hensley; daughter, Regina Weaver; grandchild, Stevyn Hensley; sister, Barbara Black; nieces and nephews: David Black, Ruth Black, James Black, and Mark Black.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Thursday, February 8, 2024, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Pastor Leah Brown officiating. Burial will follow in New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 Wednesday at the funeral home.
