Felix C. Evans

Alexander - Felix C. Evans, 79, of 2188 Old Hwy. 20, died Saturday February 16, 2002 at the Hospice Solace Center. A native of Ravensford, N.C., he retired from Hobson Construction Co., was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II. Mr. Evans was the son of the late Joe and Marsuia Gass Evans and was the husband of the late Margaret C. Evans who died in 1999. Surviving are his daughter, Martha Maney and husband Gary of Arden; sons, Dale Evans and wife Theresa of Alexander; Keith Evans and Wife Kathy of Leicester, and Mark Evans and wife Dawn of Leicester; 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; special cousin, Mabel Wise of Candler. Funeral services will be held at 6:30 PM Monday at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Ronnie Owen, Rev. Wesley Pike, Rev. Bruce Robinson, and Mr. Dale Evans officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday at Green Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chaynee Evans, Bob Wheeler, Don Garrison, Gene Garrison, Marion Garrison, and Jeff Bradley. Honorary pallbearers will employees of Hobson Construction Co.
