Everett Weldon Dalton

Fairview - Everett Weldon Dalton, 83, of 1313 Old Fort Rd. died Thursday June 27, 2002 at his residence following a short illness. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. He retired in 1983 as a self employed Logger and was a W.W. I I veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Dalton was a son of the late Yourn Curtis Dalton and Delia Dotson Dalton and was also preceded in death by a brother, Clephon Dalton. Surviving are his wife, Nellie Eva Hunter Dalton of the home; daughters, Adele Harkins and Brenda Ann Stanley both of Fairview and Kathy Glass of Oteen; sons, Alan Dalton of Fairview and Randy Dalton of Asheville; sister, Beth Hunter of Fairview; brothers, Pat Dalton and Tommy Dalton both of Fairview; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cane Creek Cemetery with the Rev. James Lamb officiating. Military Graveside rites will be conducted by the Buncombe County Veterans Council Memorial Team. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
