Evelyn Craft

Asheville Evelyn Barbara Whitaker Craft, 83, of 310 Onteora Blvd, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at her home. A native of Asheville, she retired as the Church Secretary of Oakley UMC where she was a member, choir member and Joy Sunday School Class member. Mrs. Craft was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her husband whom she married December 30, 1954, Bob Craft, of the home; daughters, Ramona Whichello (Steve) of Asheville, Marcia Hendrix (Noel) of Mills River and Karen Craft of Asheville; grandchildren, Kasey Stuckey (Jarrett), Hollis Hendrix, Haley Hendrix, Samuel Hendrix, Bethany Whichello and Sarah Whichello; great granddaughter, Tatum Stuckey; nephew, Tim Hettrick (Carol) and sister, Helen Hettrick of Orange Park, FL. Memorial services will be held at 10 AM Saturday, November 9, 2013 at Oakley UMC with Rev. Rick Schilling officiating. The family will receive friends following services at the church. Private graveside rites will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Noel Hendrix (son-in-law) officiating.
