Leicester Evalee Irene Sprinkle Teague, 94, of 25 Sprinkle Drive, died Friday, October 20, 2006 in a local rehabilitation center. She was born in Sharpsville, PA and was the daughter of the late William Jarvis and Jennie Sprinkle. She was the wife of the late Redmon (Bud) Teague, and was also preceded in death by two brothers, a sister, a beloved daughter, Patricia Teague Elliott, and grandsons: Michael (Mickey) Wilde, John Redmon Elliott, and Infant Boy Teague. Her family moved to Guatemala, Central America when she was a toddler. Her mother returned several years later to enroll the children in more modern schools, and they settled in Leicester to be near the Sprinkle family. She worked for Gorham Mfg. and retired from Gerber Co. after 19 years of employment. She was a faithful member of Leicester United Methodist Church, holding many positions over the years, from teacher to secretary. She had also served as secretary of the Grange organization for 27 years, and was a compassionate and loving volunteer with Meals On Wheels at the Leicester Community Center. Surviving are her daughters: Peggy Bennett of Leicester, Gale Champion and husband Ron of Washington, NC and Marcella Morgan and husband Roger of Barnardsville; son, William (Bill) Teague and wife Carolyn of Leicester; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 3 great, great-grandchildren; and a special nephew, Kerlee Littrell and wife Peggy of Raleigh, NC. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Sunday at Leicester United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Wendell Brittain, Rev. Enoch Ball, Jr., and Rev. Jerry McCain officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
