Marshall – Eva Putnam Kuykendall, 75, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2023, at her residence.
A native of Haywood County, she resided in Buncombe County most of her life until moving to Madison County two years ago. Mrs. Kuykendall worked for AB Emblem for more than 20 years and then worked for Silverline Plastics for another 15 years until retirement. She was a member of Stoney Fork Baptist Church and attended Inanda Baptist Church. She loved the Lord, her family, and tending to her roses in the garden.
She was a daughter of the late General and Mary Putnam, and wife of the late Allen Peter Kuykendall who passed away in 2004. She was also preceded in death by her brothers: Henry Putnam and Roger Putnam.
Surviving are her daughter, Teresa Massey and husband Jeff of Asheville; son:, Allen “Hoppy” Kuykendall and fiancée Whisper, and Eugene “Dab” Kuykendall and wife Tracy; grandchildren: Samantha Ingle and husband John, George Massey and wife Chelsey, Cameron Sluder and wife Cassie, Derek Kuykendall, Logan Kuykendall, Charlotte Fisher and husband William, Zachary Kuykendall, and Zane Kuykendall; great-grandchildren: Mia, Ally, and Harper; sisters: Bertha Price, and Frances Brooks; sisters-in-law: Pat Kuykendall, and Rosemary Rice and husband Mike; brother-in-law, Doug Kuykendall; nieces and nephews: Richard Kuykendall, Haley Duyck, Jeff Kuykendall and wife Myra, and Christy Duyck and husband Aaron; and her two beloved dogs: Willie and Roscoe.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, June 21, 2023, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Caleb Curtis and Terry House officiating. Burial will follow at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory.
The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
A special Thank You to Susie York for her loving care that she provided Eva through her sickness. The family loves and appreciates all you have done for her.
