Eulas Ben Sexton

March 8, 1913 — June 1, 2003

Candler - Eulas Ben Sexton, 90, of 23 Acton Woods Road, died Sunday June 1, 2003 at his residence. A native of Newport, TN. He had lived most of his life in Buncombe County. He was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God. He was a son of the late Ike Sexton and Ethel Blazer Sexton Webb. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wavielee Tesner Sexton; son, Junior Sexton: grandson, Wayne Burnette; brothers, Houston and Roy Sexton. Surviving are his daughters, Hazel Burnette and husband, Edwin of Candler and Wanda Pike and husband, Albert of Asheville; sons, James Sexton and wife, Barbara and Paul Sexton all of Weaverville; brother, Arthur Sexton of Delray Beach, FL; 12 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Revs. Mike Brown, Larry Nix and George Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
