Eugenia Davis

Leicester Eugenia Anderson Davis, 92, died Saturday, January 23, 2016 at her home. A native of Haywood County, she lived in Buncombe County since 1946 and was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis was the wife of the late Andy Davis and daughter of the late Elbert and Daffie Anderson. Surviving are her daughters, Dorotha Marie Sawyer of Candler, Anna Jeanette Bradburn and husband Michael of Leicester and Carolyn Frances Reid of Asheville; grandsons, James Sawyer, Michael Sawyer and wife Sarah, Aaron and David Reid and his wife Rachel; great grandchildren, Holly and Maddox Reid and Will and Christopher Sawyer and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM Wednesday, January 27, 2016 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Jackie Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2:15 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
