Esther Dobbings

Arden – Esther Dobbings, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at the Charles George VA Medical Center. A native of Buncombe County, she was a daughter of the late Hardy Thomas Ewart and Rosie Mae Ramsey Ewart. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Edith Freeman; and brothers: Alfred Ewart, and Grady Ewart. Esther was a member of Candler House of Prayer and over the past couple years she and her husband, Tim, enjoyed watching Rev. Charles Stanley on the television together every Sunday. Surviving are her husband of 27 years, Timothy Christopher Dobbings; brother, Mike Ewart and wife Nanette of West Asheville; sister-in-law, Mary Beth Winn and husband Buzz of South Haven, MS; brother-in-law, Michael Dobbings and wife Merry of Wilmington; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, with her brother, Mike Ewart officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 till 4 PM on Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
