Ernest Charles "Chuck" Barger

Asheville - Ernest Charles Chuck Barger, 44, of 7 Donnybrook Ct. went Home Friday, June 25, 2004 at Mission Hospitals. A native of Decatur, GA he had lived in Buncombe County for most of his life. He was a member and Elder of Gods Filling Station where he helped build the present church, ran the sound, and was founder of Gods Outreach for Overcoming Dependencies. Mr. Barger was the son of Ralph Cyril Barger of Ball Ground, GA and Patricia Justice Sircey of Asheville. Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Dee Dee Sherlin Barger of the home; daughter, Misty Dawn Barger of Asheville; son, Joshua Charles Barger of Asheville; sister, Donna Garrison and husband David of Chattanooga, TN; brothers, John Barger and wife Lauri of Nairobi, Kenya, David Barger and Bill Barger, both of Asheville; his best friend, his dog, Jake. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M.. Monday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Steve Brockwell and Bobby Hart and Mr. David Barger officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home.
