Elsie Mozelle Griffin

Elsie Extine Griffin, 79, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A native of Jackson County, she resided Buncombe County most of her life. She was the daughter of the late George Extine and Mary Ethel Harris Extine, and wife of the late Clarence Ernest Griffin. Mrs. Griffin was a God fearing woman and loved Jesus. She was a member of Grove Stone Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, Ricky David Price and wife Cindy of Black Mountain; 9 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, January 4, 2018, at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, with Rev. James Lamb officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 till 10 PM at the home, 86 Reed Road, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
