Elsa Lee Faulkner

West Asheville - Elsa Lee Morrow Faulkner, 77, of 14 Holcombe Drive went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 26, 2001 following a long illness. Mrs. Faulkner was a native of Madison County and had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was formerly employed with Lil General Stores where she served as manager and sales clerk and had also worked with Eckerds Drug Stores and K-Mart. Preceding her in death were her husband, Conley Cooledge Faulkner; father, James Fred Morrow; mother, Hattie Sue Tyson Morrow Sherrod; sister, Alyce Dowd and son, James Post. Surviving are her sons, Anthony Lee Faulkner and Raymond Payne, Jr. both of Asheville and William J. Iannicca of East Lake, Ohio; sisters, Marge Czarneski and Sue Dykhuizen both of Wichita, Kansas; a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren; aunt, Pauline T. Wilson of Marshall and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger A. Kuykendall officiating.
