Eloise Austin Nelon

Asheville - Eloise Austin Nelon, 73, of 20-B Short Michigan Avenue died Monday, November 11, 2002. A native of Abilene, Texas. Mrs. Nelon had resided in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was a homemaker, daughter of the late Elzie T. Austin and Mamie Katherine Aldredge Austin and wife of the late James Lane Nelon. Surviving are her daughters, Gloria Swilling of Belevedere, S.C., Millie Katherine King of Leicester, Sandra Dee Edwards of Weaverville and Emily Sue Prater of Saltville, Virginia; son, Anthony Tony Penland of Asheville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following her services at funeral home.
