Ellen Thomas Scott

Asheville Ellen Frances Thomas Scott, 93, formerly of 5 Knob Hill Road, went to be with her Lord Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Aston Park Health Care Center following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a homemaker and member of Bent Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Scott was a daughter of the late Hale Thomas and Lillie Lou Ellen Luther Thomas Foster and wife of Hewell Gordon Scott who died in 1977. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Roy Thomas and sister, Rosa Mae Haynes. Surviving are her sons, Jewitt Scott Scott of Asheville and Bobby Scott of Fairview; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2 pm Monday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. There will be no formal visitation.
