Ellen Streadwick

Asheville - Ellen Blanche Buckner Streadwick, 94, formerly of 230 Shelburne Road, passed away Monday, September 19, 2005 at Elderberry Health Care Center. A native of Madison County, she lived most of her life in Buncombe County. She retired from Southern Bell as a telephone operator. Mrs. Streadwick was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late John and Sue Blazer Buckner and the widow of Cecil Streadwick. Surviving are her brother, Larry Buckner of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Young officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the church. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the Streadwick family with arrangements.
