Ella Mae Reynolds

Asheville - Ella Mae Hawkins Reynolds, 78, of 100 Mt. Carmel Road Lot 39 died Sunday June 3, 2007 at the Laurels of Green Tree Ridge following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County. Mrs. Reynolds retired from Swannanoa Laundry as a counter clerk and was formerly the owner and operator of Hawkins Grocery Store. She was a member of Erwin Hills Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Wilbur Roscoe and Ethel Jerline Johnston Hawkins and the wife of the late James Anderson Reynolds. Surviving are her son, Joe Reynolds of the home; brother, Frank Hawkins of Asheville; grandson, Andy Reynolds and wife Dawn of Candler and great grandson, Leighton Reynolds. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour before services at the funeral home.
