Ella Huntley Earley

Fairview Mary Ella Huntley Earley, 95, went to be with her Lord Sunday, June 25, 2006 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center following a period of declining health. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a longtime member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, where she formerly decorated the church with flowers for over 35 years. She helped everyone that she knew who needed help for many years. Mrs. Earley was the daughter of the late Joseph Watson and Ida Texas McAbee Huntley, and the widow of Cecil Benjamin Earley, Sr., who passed away in 1966. She was also preceded in death by her son, C.B. Earley, Jr., who died in 1992. Surviving are her daughter, Cecile Holcombe and husband Paul of Fairview, and her granddaughter, Paula Holcombe of Houston, TX. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with the Rev. James Whitted and Rev. Charles Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
