Elizabeth Renee Purvis

Elizabeth Renee Purvis, 47, passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at her residence. Mrs. Purvis was a native of Morganton, NC and had resided in Buncombe County most of her life. She was the daughter of Rachel Elizabeth Watson Tallent and the late Charles Peg Tallent. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewayne Purvis who passed away in July 2014. Surviving in addition to her mother are her children: Glen Eugene McElreath and his wife Dana of Iva, SC, Hilda Elizabeth Puris of Weaverville, and Megan Nichole Purvis of Weaverville; grandchildren: Rafe Austin Ellis McElreath, and Alayna Christine McElreath; brothers: Scott Tallent, David Tallent, and Dennis Tallent all of Morganton; and a niece, Jessica Tallent. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, December 6, 2014 in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
