After high school graduation, Elizabeth moved down to Milwaukee to find employment but later had to return to Mellen to care for her ailing mother. After her mother passed, she returned to Milwaukee with her younger sister Rosalia in tow. During WWII, Elizabeth worked in a factory soldering parts for war planes making her a “Rosie the Riveter”, women in the workforce doing their part to support the war effort while the men were off fighting.

Elizabeth was a strong, loving and supportive mother, encouraging her children to make the most of their talents and abilities while taking great pride in their accomplishments over the years. She excelled in the role of caretaker, helping family and friends whenever needed. Elizabeth also traveled extensively, expanding her knowledge and understanding of the world she lived in.
There will be no formal service but the family invites you to please privately celebrate Elizabeth’s life and memory in your own ways. We know that she will be with us all in spirit.
