Elizabeth L. Alexander

West Asheville Elizabeth Lucinda Alexander, 89, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late Bron Vasque Alexander and Bessie Eloise Maxwell Alexander. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ruby McBee, Elva Lanning and Pauline Higgins and brothers, Coy and Troy Alexander. Miss Alexander was a Self Employed Accountant and had formerly worked with numerous companies including Bon Marche, Bank of Asheville and Asheville Steel and Salvage. She was a member of West Asheville Baptist Church for over 50 years where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and had served on numerous activities. In her professional career she was a member of the Asheville Womens Business Association where she served as Treasurer and was Woman of the Year in 1982 and former member of both the National and NC Public Accountants Associations. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Monday, April 22, 2013 at the West Asheville Baptist Church with the Rev. Stan Welch and Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11 AM Monday at the church.
