Elfriede Moser Wallen

Leicester Elfriede Moser Wallen, 78, of 110 Gillespie Road, passed away Friday, January 13, 2006 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital System following a period of declining health. A native of Karshule, Germany, she had resided in Buncombe County for the past 45 years. She was a member of Jones Valley Baptist Church, and a member of Eastern Star. Mrs. Wallen was the daughter of the late Josef and Louise Hoshild Moser, and the widow of the late Clyde N. Wallen. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Louise Moser, and a brother, Richard Moser. Surviving are two daughter: Rita Grice and Ursula Rodrigaez, both of Moss Landing, CA; grandchildren: Jacqueline, Ronnie, Carly, Matthew, Nicole, and Renee; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Herta Lyles, of Midwest City, OK. Memorial services will be held at 2 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Dorcey officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
