Effie Truesdale Dymond

Asheville - Effie Truesdale Dymond, 92, died Friday, October 18, 2002 at Autumn Care in Marion, North Carolina. Mrs. Dymond was born in Kershaw County, South Carolina, on June 3, 1910, the daughter of the late Tommy and Mary Spears Truesdale. A member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church, Mrs. Dymond was for many years a Licensed Practical Nurse in Asheville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glen Austin, and her youngest son, Martin Thomas. Surviving are her eldest son, Russell, of Charlotte; stepson, Glen Austin, Jr. and wife, Peggy, of Blackwood, N.J.; stepdaughter, Jean Burgess, of Wilmington Delaware; daughter-in-law and wife of Martin, Carol Dymond, of Marion, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Calvin C. Jett officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:00 A.M. Monday at the funeral home.
