Edna Mae Smith

West Asheville Edna Mae Hall Smith, 85, formerly of 117 Dorchester Avenue, went to be with her Lord Sunday, April 14, 2013 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she along with her husband were former owners and operators of Smiths Printing Co. Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late James Pinkney and Dora Mae Whiteside Hall and wife of the late Garland Nathaniel Smith. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Robert and Paul King and Hugh and Jack Hall and sister, Patricia Hall. Surviving are her sisters, Ethel and Nellie Hall both of Asheville and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 11 A.M. Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Green Hills Cemetery with Pastor Doug Hopkins officiating.
