Edna Frady

Fairview - Edna Stewart Frady, 72, of 3016 Cane Creek Road, passed away Friday, April 17, 2009 at the Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Gashes Creek Baptist Church, where she served faithfully in the choir for over 35 years. Mrs. Frady was the daughter of the late Grover and Zella Wise Stewart, and the wife of Burnis Earl Frady, who passed away March 5, 2001. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Stewart. Surviving are her children: Keith Frady and wife Kelly of Fairview, Cynthia Frady Campbell and Gary Campbell of Candler, Randy Frady and fiance Georgia Hensley of Woodfin, Donald Frady and wife Donna of Fayetteville, NC and Gina Holder and husband Frank of Brandon, FL; grandchildren: Kip Frady, Kinsley Frady, Joshua Cawthorn, Tommy Frady, Samantha Frady, Paul Frady, Christy Flora, Stanley Frady, Cory Holder, Ashley Holder, and Bryan Roland; several great-grandchildren; brother, Tommy Stewart and wife Nancy of Asheville; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM Monday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 PM in the chapel, with the Rev. Stacy Harris officiatng. Burial will be in Gashes Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
