Edith R. Beachboard

Asheville - Mina Edith Robinson Beachboard, 97, formerly of 47 Sandhill Road died Thursday January 10, 2002 at St. Josephs Hospital. A native of Yancey County, she had resided in Buncombe County most of her life and was formerly employed by Bell South for 7 years as a telephone operator. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and the daughter of the late James Wesley and Laura Ella Briggs Robinson. She was the wife of the late Jesse Earl Beachboard who died July 3, 1953 and was also preceded in death by her 3 sons, James, Burnice and Jack Beachboard and brother, Herman Robinson. Surviving are her daughters, Nina Rachel of Reno, Nv. and Betty Stephens of Asheville; 8 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Green Hills Cemetery with the Rev. Aubrey Folk officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
