Edith Ledford Marona

Asheville Edith Ree Ledford Marona, 75, went to be with her Lord on Monday, November 19, 2012 at the Golden Living Center. A native of High Point, NC, she had resided most of her life in Buncombe County. She retired in 1994 from Gerber Baby Products after 32 years of service and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where a member of the Potters Clay Sunday School Class. She was the daughter of the late Ernest Joe Ledford who died in 1977 and Mary Halsentine Matthews Ledford who died in 2000. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Joe Ledford who died in November 2011. Surviving are her brother, Charles Ledford and wife Rena of Hermiston, OR and several nieces and nephews in Oregon and South Carolina. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, November 26, 2012 at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Davis Plemmons officiating. Burial will follow in Pisgah View Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Lane, Jason, Cale, Chuck and Chris Ledford and Craig Edwards. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Monday at the church.
