Edith Grace Landers

Fletcher - Edith Grace Landers, 89, formerly of 31 Mineral Springs Rd., Asheville, died Saturday, October 12, 2002. A native of Madison County, she had lived in Buncombe County for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late John Critton and Fannie Sue Davis Landers and was the wife of the late Robert Landers. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy Cooley and Georgia Stanley, and her brother, John C. Landers. Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Lee Knight of Gloucester, VA; sister, Elsie Souther of Fletcher; grandchildren, John Freeman, James Ray Freeman, Stephanie Freeman, and Kimberly Kruger; 9 great grandchildren. In loving memory of Mother and Nanny, the family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 120 Executive Park, Blg, 1, Asheville, NC 28801.
