Asheville Edith Aline Haynes Moore, 88, of 20 Hummingbird Lane, passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center. A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she retired in 1989 as a CNA from Memorial Mission Hospital following over 30 years of service. Mrs. Moore was a 1943 graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School and was a member of Victory Baptist Church where she had served in the Adult Choir, WMU, Training Union Leader, VBS Worker and had attended Morningside Baptist Church. She loved to sew, cook, travel and watch the Atlanta Braves and ACC Basketball. Mrs. Moore the daughter of the late Rev. James Francis Haynes and Lestie Mae Williams Haynes and was the wife of 62 years of the late Calvin H. Moore. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence, Francis, Sidney, Herman and Ed Haynes; sisters, Ruth Banks, Bernice, Mary and Ester Lance and great granddaughter, Kinsley Hope Conner. Surviving are her daughters, Janice Inman and husband Doran of Clyde, Joyce Conner of Asheville and Jeanette Myers and husband Roger of Gastonia; grandchildren, Vicky Gosnell, Christina Hipps (Terry), Christopher Conner (Cherith), David Myers and Seth Myers (Jillian); great grandchildren, Diane Pool (Will), Douglas Johnson, Caitlin Taylor, Landon Taylor, Carris Conner, Kylin Conner and Corey Hipps; brothers-in-law, Garland Lance and Price Lance and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 P.M. Monday, April 15, 2013 at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Sprinkle, Rev. Earl Jones and Rev. Mark Chase officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 P.M. Sunday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to: CarePartners, P.O.
