Eddie Edmonds

Asheville Edward Wayne Eddie Edmonds, 45, passed away unexpectedly Monday, September 17, 2018 at his home. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Eddie had worked with the Eaton Corp. for the past 27 years. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs fan, and was a dedicated supporter of the UGA University Student Enhancement Fund. He was a loving person who accepted everyone for who they were, and will be greatly missed. Eddie was the son of the late Ernest Wayne and Linda Henson Edmonds. He was also preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Edward Leon and Edna Watts Edmonds; and maternal grandparents: Ulus C. and Vivian B. Henson. Surviving are his aunts: Libby Stuart and husband Jerry, and Pat Henson Russell and husband Fred; uncle, David Lewis Henson and wife Gail; and many loving cousins and treasured friends. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday in the Chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Walker officiating. The family will receive friends following the services Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the UGA Student Enhancement Fund, 236 Memorial Hall, Athens, GA 30602. GO DAWGS!!!
