Asheville - Eddie Crowder, 66, took his first peaceful and pain free steps into heaven on Friday, April 21st, 2023, after an extended illness.
A native of Buncombe Co., Eddie was the son of the late Roy Edward Crowder and Margaret Ann Bailey Crowder and husband of the late Janice Buckner Crowder who passed on April 6, 2023.
Eddie was a 1975 graduate of Erwin High School. He operated many things including Bulldozer, Dump truck, Tractors and Tractor Trailers, and was also a licensed pilot. Eddie loved people; he always gave a helping hand to anyone. Eddie rode his Harley until he just couldn't. He also served in the US Airforce and attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Eddie is survived by his sister, Denise Huntley and husband Rick; brother-in-law, Donald C. Buckner, and wife Deborah. Niece, Natalie Huntley; great nieces: Addison Brenzel (Joseph) and Makaela Davis and husband Josh; great nephew, Benjamin Brenzel (Regan); and nephew-in-law, Chris Brenzel.
The funeral service for Eddie will be held at Anders-Rice Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 25th at 2:00pm. Pastors Keith Watkins and Garry Rogers will officiate. Interment will follow at New Liberty Baptist Church cemetery.
He will lie in state at Anders Rice on Tuesday prior to the service.
Motorcycles are welcome.
