Dwight Douglas Pressley

Asheville – Dwight Douglas Pressley, 69, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Mission Hospital.

A native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County, he was the son of Junko Niwa Pressley and the late Dwight William Pressley, Jr.

Dwight was a graduate of UNCA where he earned his Bachelor of Science and Art Degree. He volunteered for many years with MAHEC in the Business Office and worked for Mission Hospital. He was also a member of Merrimon Avenue Baptist Church and French Broad Methodist Church. Dwight loved the Lord and his family; he will be greatly missed.

A private graveside service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024, at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Pastor Keith Dockings will officiate.
