Drannan Henry Cole Sr.

Asheville Drannan Henry Cole, Sr., 95, formerly of 123 School Road, Oakley died Sunday, October 16, 2005 in Social Circle, Georgia. A native and resident for most of his life of Buncombe County. He was the son of the late Sylvester B. Cole and Geneva Bruce Cole and the husband of Ada Lavada Lewis Cole who died August 15, 2004. He was also preceded in death by his son, Oneill D. Cole. Mr. Cole retired in 1972 following 42 years of service with Sayles Biltmore Bleacheries and was a member of the Biltmore Masonic Lodge #446. Surviving are his son, Drannan Henry Hank Cole, Jr. and wife, Shirley of Palm Harbor, FL; grandchildren, Michael D. Cole and wife, Cheryl of Deltona, FL, Victor Cole and wife, Cyndi of Edgewater, FL, Pamela Lee Finney and husband, David of Jefferson, GA and Shannan E. Saxon and husband, Kenneth of Statham, GA; 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandsons. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
