Dot "Nana" Katta

Asheville - Dot Katta, 79, of 4 Waters Road, went to be with her lord on Saturday, December 17, 2005. She was surrounded by her loving family. Dot was born in Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late William and Ethel Blair. She was also preceded in death by her husband Joe and son Jimmy. Surviving are her daughter, Debi Rice; grandchildren, Joe Denning, Kimberly Fisher and Ethan Rice; great-grandchildren, Valerie and Colin; sister, Virginia Kirkland. Memorial services will be held in her honor on Wednesday, December 21st at 6 pm in the Chapel at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the funeral home. The family will also receive friends at 4 Waters Road on Tuesday after 3 p.m. and Wednesday until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her daughter, Debi Rice, P.O. Box 1461, Candler, N.C. 28715. The memorials will be donated to several of Dot's favorite charities as she had requested.
