Dorothy Redmon

Asheville - Dorothy Redmon Granny on the Hill, 90, formerly of 2 Woodrow Place passed Wednesday June 12, 2002 after a brief illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Buncombe County. Surviving are her daughters, Doris Watts of Candler and Helen Jan and husband Jack Minyard of Asheville; granddaughters, Rhonda Carter of Candler, Lisa and husband Robert Ballard of Asheville, Jamie Roberson of Leicester, Marilyn and husband Rick Aidif of Mt. Morris, Michigan and Jackie Minyard and lifelong friend Kim Mauer both of Mooresboro, N.C..; great grandchildren, Samantha Whitfields of Albuquerque, NM., Sherry Daniel of Candler, Jason, Brandie and Michael Ballard all of Asheville, Chase , Tyler and Natalie Roberson all of Leicester, Jamie and Jim Aidif II both of Mt. Morris, Michigan. and Krystal Minyard of Mooresboro, NC.; great great grandchildren, Lindsay Daniel of Albuquerque, NM., Nicholas and Aidan Aldrett both of Candler and Codie Lee Aidif of Mt. Morris, Michigan; three nieces and one nephew. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 P.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home with the Rev. Vince Keith officiating.
