Dorothy Marie "Dottie" Wells

Asheville - Dorothy Marie Crisp Dottie Wells, 77, of 200 Tunnel Road Apt. 465 died Tuesday January 3, 2006 at St. Josephs Hospital after a period of declining health. A native of Buncombe County, she had lived in Grand Prairie, TX for several years before returning to Buncombe County in 1993. She was a daughter of the late Arthur and Helen Marie Smith Crisp and the wife of the late Billie Alfred Hollifield and Jimmy Wells. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Jerry Alan Hollifield and Michael Edwin Hollifield. Surviving are her sons, Lewis Hollifield of Louisburg, David Hollifield of Cross Anchor, SC and Lenny E. Hollifield of Asheville; daughter, Brenda Sheppard of Hendersonville; sister, Naoma Jordan of Asheville; brothers, Lloyd, Johnnie and Jack Crisp all of Asheville; 10 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following services at the funeral home.
