Dorothy Louise Stamey King

CANDLER - Dorothy Louise Stamey King, 72, of 434 Reeves Cove Rd. died Thursday, July 26, 2001 at the home of her daughter. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, she was a member of Asheville Pentecostal Holiness Church. Mrs. King was the daughter of the late Buster Stamey and Ethel Cooper Stamey Trull. Surviving are her husband, Vernon Troy King of the home; sons, James Vernon King of Candler and Charles Michael King of Dallas, NC; daughters, Shirley K. Bennett of Candler and Sharon K. Caison of Asheville; grandchildren, Jamie King, Michael King, Selina Bennett, Jeramie King, Jason King, Derek Greene, Dwayne Caison, and David Caison; great grandchildren, Phillip King, Colton Amason, Tyler Amason, and Rachel Greene; sister, Wanda Johnson of Ruth, NC; brother, Bill Trull of Candler. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Sunday in the Anders-Rice Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Noah Barefoot, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah View Memorial Park, Candler. The family will receive friends from 7 until 9 PM Saturday at the funeral home. At other times, the family will be at the home of James King, 21 Lollis Rd., Candler, NC.
