Dorothy "Dot" Brackett

Hendersonville Dorothy Jean Dot Brackett, 86, passed away Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Cardinal Care Center. Born on May 24, 1928 in Bryson City, NC, Dot was one of seven siblings born to Roy and Minnie Thompson. She had resided since 1975 in Henderson County and was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, and her husband of 60 years, Ken Brackett. Surviving are her son, Kenny Brackett and wife Christine of Columbus, NC; granddaughter, Charleen Dudding of China Grove, NC; and two great-grandchildren: Chase and Ashton. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting the Brackett family.
