Dorothy Bonham Colwell

Asheville - Dorothy Bonham Colwell, 87, of 105 Summer Glen Dr., died Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at Universal Health Care of Fletcher. She was a member of Oak Forest Presbyterian Church and during WW II she served in the Army Medical Corp as an Occupational Therapist. She was retired from Deerfield Episcopal Home. Mrs. Colwell was the daughter of the late Thomas and Sophia Cabe Bonham and was the wife of the late Clark Maxwell Colwell who died in 1988. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mattie Wix, and brothers, Carl, Cecil, Claude, and Clarence Bonham. Surviving are her daughter, Sandra Garcia of Arden; sister, Louise Brooks of Asheville; special niece, Jane Holcombe; several other nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Sunday at Pisgah View Memorial Park with the Rev. Tim Meredith officiating. Memorials may be made to Four Seasons Hospice, P.O.
