Donna Lynn Messer Dorlan

Donna Lynn Messer Dorlan, 54, went to be home with the Lord on Wednesday, January, 29, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A resident of Candler, NC, Donna was the daughter of Edith Vance Messer and the late William Clyde Messer. She is also preceded in death by her brother, Mike Messer.

Donna graduated from Enka High School in 1988.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 32 years, Scotty James Dorlan; brother, David Messer and wife Pat, and sister, Vickie Childers and husband Morris, and brother-in-law Keith Dorlan and wife Brandi; Nephews: Bradley Messer and wife Sarina, Christopher Childers, Anthony Dorlan and wife Grayson, Dillian Dorlan and wife Megan; niece, Sarah Hampton and husband Johnny; great nieces and nephews: Tucker, Phoenix, and Silas Messer, Georgia Dorlan, Myles Dorlan, and Johnathan and Claudia Hampton.

Donna retired from IFB Solutions in May 2024 where she made many friends. She was also a longtime member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 2pm at Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Rd. Asheville, NC 28806, with Pastors Winston Parrish and Allen Rash and Mark Elliott officiating.

The family will be receive friends following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 216 Shelburne Rd. Asheville, NC 28806 or St Jude Children's Hospital.
