Donna Bell

Asheville – Donna Dillingham Bell, 78, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the Accordius Health at Asheville. A native and resident of Buncombe County most of her life, she retired as a Radiologist, having worked over the years in WNC at MAHEC, Henderson and McDowell County Hospitals. She was a member of Crossroads Church and attended Mars Hill College. Mrs. Bell was the daughter of the late John Charles Dillingham and Ruby Elizabeth Benison Dillingham, and the wife of Anson Bell who died April 19, 2013. She was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Patricia Bell. Surviving are several cousins, including Wade Zachary (Brenda) and their son, Jonathan Zachary (Cassidy) who affectionately knew her as “Aunt Donna”, Jane Ponder, Pat Cole and Terri Dillingham; aunt, Rachel Cruey; brother-in-law, John Bell (Patti); nieces, Shannon Bell Freeman (Brady) and Leslie Bell Wilder (Steve); numerous great nieces and a great nephew, and special friends, Herbert and Carolyn Mullen and their family. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Crossroads Church, with Rev. Wade Zachary and Rev. Dr. J. Michael Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Ashelawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Saturday prior to services at the church. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting Mrs. Bell’s family.
