Donald Ray Foster

Candler – Donald Ray Foster, 59, of 85 Short Street, passed away Friday, May 15, 2020 at his residence. A native and resident of Buncombe County for most of his life. He attended Clyde A. Erwin High School, served in the US Marine Corps and had worked in residential construction. Donald was the son of Carolyn Loretta Taylor Foster of Candler and the late Clifford Ray Foster. Surviving in addition to his mother are his sisters, Doris Meadows (Roger) of Arden, Mary Crawford (Ronald) of Keowee, SC, Donna Pressley (Edward) of Asheville and Deborah Beck of Columbia, SC; several nieces and nephews and his # 1 buddy, his dog “Shytan”. No services will be held at this time. Private burial will be held at the Western Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain. Anders-Rice Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
