Don Anderson

Asheville – Donald Wayne “Don” Anderson, 82, of 11 Allesarn Road, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at The Greens of Weaverville.

Mr. Anderson was a native of Madison County and had resided in Buncombe County for most of his life. He was the former Owner & Operator of Andy’s Landscaping Company and had served for many years as a Congregation Elder with the South Asheville and North Asheville Congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He was the son of the late Wayne Willard Anderson and Bonnie Brezell Gardner Anderson and was the husband of the late Barbara Jean Metcalf Anderson who died March 19, 2021.

Surviving are his sister-in-law, Juanita Metcalf Cisek of Oakland, CA and niece, Karen Doze.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the North Asheville Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses

The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to The Greens of Weaverville staff for the kindness and care extended to Donald and the family in the days leading up to his passing.
