Dolores Coleman

Asheville Dolores Yvonne Coleman, of Governors View Road, passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Laurels of Green Tree Ridge. She was born in Haywood County to the late Robert and Velcie Coleman. Dolores was also preceded in death by her sister, Betty and her brother, Jerry Coleman. Dolores spent her career devoted to Ashevilles Sayles Bleachery, where she worked from the age of 19 until their closing in the 1970s. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Asheville. Dolores was always known for her young heart and loving spirit. She was a great laugher and loved spending time with her friends and family, who will all miss her matchless kind of cheer. Surviving family members are her sister, Joan; brother-in-law, Noel Calloway; niece, Pam and husband Tom Edwards and niece, Jan and husband Rick Elingburg. She is also survived by four great-nieces and nephews and five great-great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 2 PM Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Clarks Chapel Cemetery with Rev. Dr. John T. Tiller officiating. The family will greet friends following services at the cemetery.
