Dixie Beachboard

Asheville – Mrs. Dixie Joanne Lipe Beachboard, 82, of 2 Arrowood Road, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 14, 2021. Dixie was a native of Buncombe County, where she grew up in the West End neighborhood. She was a daughter of the late Albert R. and Lethia Moser Lipe. Dixie was a member of Ridgeview Missionary Baptist Church where she had served for the past 20 years. In 2001, after 35 years of service at Servomation, Dixie retired and devoted her time to caring for her adoring family and beautiful flowerbeds. Dixie’s legacy to her family is her strength and courage as she faced her final days with dignity and her love for her Lord and Savior. Dixie is survived by her faithful husband of 63 years, Herbert L. Beachboard; her two loving children: Ricky L. Beachboard and wife Vicky; and Janice M. Luther and husband Fred all of Asheville; three grandchildren: Stacey Clement, Chad Clement (Samantha), and Nikki Vinciguerra (Travis); six great-grandchildren: Alex Houston, Kailee Salvatto, Isabella Salvatto, Addison Vinciguerra, Cassidy Vinciguerra, and MaKenzy Clement; sister, Betty Lipe Jones of Asheville; and many nieces and nephews. Dixie was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters. On behalf of the Beachboard family, we would like to extend our gratitude for the compassionate caregivers and staff of CarePartners Home Hospice, who so gracefully provided support in our family’s time of need. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at Ridgeview Missionary Baptist Church, 22 Garden View Drive, Alexander, NC 28701, with Pastor Dennis Lanning officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 till 2 PM on Wednesday at the church prior to services.
