Dianne Simpson

Shelby Linda Dianne Greene Simpson, 63, of 3430 Bridges Dairy Road, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 4, 2014 where she resided at the time of her death. A native of Cleveland County, she had resided in Asheville from 1974 -2010 prior to moving back to Cleveland County in 2010. While in Asheville, she was a Pediatric Nurse at Mission Hospital where she served as Director of Pediatrics and PEDSICU and was a former longtime member of West Asheville Baptist Church. Mrs. Simpson was the daughter of the late Broadus Lee Greene and Lala Ellen Poston Greene and was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Ellen Simpson. Surviving are her husband whom she married August 16, 1968, Larry Eugene Simpson of the home; daughter, Lisa Dawn Triplett and husband J.D. of Shelby; grandchildren, Brody and Holly; brother, Ronnie Greene and wife Janice of Shelby and numerous cousins. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Friday, March 7, 2014 in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
