Dianne Shoffner

April 28, 1957 — October 1, 2023

Asheville – Sheila Dianne Shoffner, 66, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 1, 2023, in Orangeburg, SC.


A native of Buncombe County, she was a founding student of the Irene Wortham Center and member of New Liberty Baptist Church. She was affectionately called “Dee Bird” by her father.


Dianne was a daughter of the late Carl William Shoffner and Peggy Lucille Jones Shoffner.


Surviving are her sister, Patricia “Pat” Lynn Shoffner of Asheville; brother, William Douglas “Doug” Shoffner and wife Heidi of San Diego, CA; niece, Katie Shoffner and nephew, Jake Shoffner both of San Diego, CA; cousin & caregiver, Linda Black with whom she made her home, and cousins, Gene Black and Sandy Baxter and husband Rob, and their sons, Hunter and Brandon all of Asheville.


Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, October 8, 2023, at New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Johnathon Sluder officiating.


The family will receive friends immediately following services at the cemetery.
