Weaverville – Betsy Diane Howington Hoffman, 76, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 7, 2023, at her residence.
She was a lifelong resident of Buncombe County and was the daughter of the late William Columbus Howington and Dorothy Marie Crane Howington. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harry Lee Hoffman who died October 4, 2014.
Mrs. Hoffman was a homemaker and was a member of Brown’s Chapel Baptist Church. She was a good Christian woman who loved her family, friends, and her church. Her favorite saying was “God is good all the time.”
She is survived by her daughter, Ellen Diane Hollifield and husband Andy of Candler; son, Darrell Cole Hoffman and wife Renee of Weaverville; special grandson, Tyler Douglas Hollifield of Candler; sister-in-law, Shirlene Hoffman of Asheville, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, November 10, 2023, in the chapel of Anders-Rice Funeral Home, with Rev. Philip Wilson and Rev. Donnie Henson officiating. Burial will follow in West Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 7 to 9 PM.
