Asheville - Dewey McKinley Ducker, 86, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August 7, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of Buncombe County, Mr. Ducker worked as a Commercial and Industrial Electrician with M.B. Haynes for over 30 years. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Ducker was the son of the late Radney Roosevelt and Bonnie J Russell Ducker. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Carroll Ducker, and a sister, Theresa Vanoy. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Louise Mary Weber Ducker, whom he married March 17, 1962; children: Dewey Ducker, Jr. (Ivy) of Fletcher, Radney D. Ducker of Emma, Bonnie Ducker of Asheville, and Tammy Hart (Nicky) of Marion; sister: Ruth Waldrop of Asheville; brothers: Cecil Ducker of Asheville, Dwight Ducker (Lynn) of Fletcher, and Eugene Ducker of Swannanoa; seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory, with Mr. Tim Warren officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 2:30 PM Tuesday at Anders-Rice Funeral Home.
